How Silent Solver works

No magic, no spyware. Silent Solver reads the test in front of you, works out the answers with AI, and fills them in, running only when you tell it to, and only on the page you’re looking at.

[ 01 ]The sequence

What happens when you press Activate

01 · It reads the questionWhen you activate it, Silent Solver scans the test page you're on and pulls out each question and its answer choices. It only looks at the tab you triggered.
02 · It computes the answerThe question and options are sent to our AI backend, which returns the answer. That's the one thing that leaves your browser, the question text, not who you are.
03 · It fills it inFor multiple choice it selects the matching option; for written response it types a full answer into the editor. Every question on the page, in one pass.
04 · You review and submitSilent Solver never submits for you. The answers are filled; the final check and the Submit button stay with you.
[ 02 ]Permissions

Four permissions, nothing sneaky

Silent Solver requests the minimum a Chrome extension can. No host permissions, no browsing history, no reading other tabs.

activeTabReads and fills only the test tab, and only when you press Activate, no standing access to your tabs.
scriptingRuns the solver on that one page on demand. Nothing runs in the background across your browsing.
storageSaves your settings and licence locally on your device. No account, no server-side profile of you.
commandsThe keyboard shortcut (Ctrl + Shift + S / ⌘ + Shift + S) that activates it without opening the popup.
[ 03 ]Privacy

What we do and don't touch

// We don't
  • Collect your name, email or student ID
  • Read your browsing history or other tabs
  • Run in the background when you're not using it
  • Submit or save your test for you
// We do
  • Send the question + choices to our AI backend to get an answer
  • Store your settings and licence locally on your device
  • Require an internet connection to reach the solver
  • Ask you to review answers, no AI is perfect
[ 04 ]Common questions

Straight answers

What data does Silent Solver collect?
No personal data. When you activate it on a test, the question text and answer options on that page are sent to our AI backend to compute the answer, and the answer comes back. Your login, browsing history and other tabs are never touched, the extension only runs on the tab you trigger it on.
What permissions does it need, and why?
Four, all minimal: activeTab and scripting so it can read and fill the single test tab when you press Activate; storage to remember your settings and licence locally; and commands for the keyboard shortcut. It requests no host permissions and no access to your history.
Is there a free version?
Yes. Silent Solver solves the first 3 questions of any test for free, every time, no account needed. Unlimited questions are $10/month, and there's a free trial of the full version.
How do I cancel?
Billing is handled through ExtensionPay. Open the extension, choose Manage Subscription, and cancel any time, you keep access until the end of the period.
